"The Son of the Weather" is an animated film work directed by Japan Animation Supervisor Shin Hiroshi. It was released in Japan on July 19, 2019, and was released in mainland China on November 1, 2019.  This is Xin Haicheng following "Your name. After another three years, another animated film was also his seventh and the first animated film after the entry order and the era, and was qualified to represent Japan in the 92nd Oscar for Best International Film Awards.

Director Xin Haicheng believes that "Your Name" has attracted a lot of attention, which makes him very grateful, but also very hard. At that time, he looked up at the sky and wanted to relax on the cumulonimbus cloud, so he suddenly had the idea of creating a sky-related work. 

The music of "The Son of the Weather" was produced by the RADWIMPS band, which is followed by "Your name. After that, Xinhaicheng and RADWIMPS re-engaged.
