“Start with your Strategy”- Yes, this advice is pretty obvious, but according to a research, more than 60% of startups/Businesses start without a strategy. They have a product or a service, which they start marketing using a Sales Person or through online Channels. But These efforts lead nowhere since the efforts are not coherent with the idea behind starting the business. After wasting a significant amount of time you analyze everything and find out that everyone has done their job perfectly and yet the business fails. How is this Possible?

How is it possible that even after everyone has done their job perfectly, the end result is a failure. The reason is that your company lacked strategy. So, the effort one employee pouring doesn't fit perfectly with the efforts of another employee.

To avoid this one needs to have a core Documented strategy (Documented is the keyword). The strategy must be circulated with each and every employee so he/she must understand your vision and your reason behind starting the business. For Example- Marketing executive must know what the sales executive is pitching to the customers, the salesperson must know the capabilities of his Marketing team and the resources available in order to modify his/her pitch if necessary. Once the client is onboard graphic designer must know the requirement of the client (the information must not be passed orally, since humans have a very short attention span) in order to design appropriate graphics. All these activities are possible only if we have a documented strategy.

Yeah, the needs of every client are different, but there must be a standard template upon which your strategy is built. Remember that it is easier to tweak changes in an already existing strategy than to build a new strategy for each new client.
